As millions of American families gather for their Thanksgiving feast this evening, there will likely be plenty of food, conversation and — most likely — football.
The NFL had 3 games on the schedule Thursday, and for countless Americans they couldn't imagine the holiday without the pigskin.
In fact, for many, the love of sports is the very thing that makes us uniquely American.
A new HBO documentary explores how and why sports hold such an important place in our country's heart.
It's called "Sport in America: Our Defining Stories," and we're joined by director James Stern.
