Yesterday was the deadline to file campaign expenditure reports for the final quarter of 2011.

The results: President Obama has the most money – $125 million – more than twice as much as Mitt Romney, who has about $57 million.

Then there are the super PACs – those organizations that are now allowed to raise unlimited cash to influence voters. And their spending could far exceed the candidates' this year.

Super PAC spending has already eclipsed $60 million, and there's still 46 states left in the primary calendar. And general election campaigns have yet to begin.
