Two years ago, several homeless people sued Los Angeles in federal court. They claim the city violated their constitutional rights by seizing their belongings off the sidewalk, and destroying them. The case will go to trial in 2019, unless the city settles. KPCC’s Matt Tinoco sat in on a city hall hearing about the case.
