What a difference.
A week after the World Series began in Los Angeles amid a withering wave of record fall heat, the teams return to Dodger Stadium as a drizzly blanket of clouds keeps temperatures well below normal.
Highs Tuesday are forecast to range from the mid-60s to around 70, and the Dodgers and Houston Astros will take the field for Game 6 with the temperature likely to be more than 30 degrees cooler than the 103-degree start of Game 1.
And meteorologists foresee Southern California's first widespread rain of the season, with the only question being the timing.
The National Weather Service says a slow-moving cold front will slide down the West Coast and bring rain as early as Saturday and Sunday or starting late Saturday through Monday afternoon.
