From a day with peacocks to an interactive science expo, there's something happening to satisfy every Angeleno's niche interests this weekend.


Vegan Street Fair

Every dish at this food fair will be completely plant-based, from tacos and donuts to falafel bowls and pizza slices. Dozens of local vendors will be on site, but with $4 bites all around, you'll get a chance to try a little bit of everything. So dig in and pace yourself!

L.A. Opera Open House 

Opera nerds are a special kind of breed. Here, seasoned fans and newcomers can partake in a day of music, fun and a peek into the backstage magic. From an interactive singing performance for families and kids, costumes and wigs on display and backstage self-guided tours, you're sure to leave a bigger opera buff than you were before.

Interactive Science Expo

Expect to quench your thirst for science and technology here. Interact with representatives from organizations like NASA JPL, Aquarium of the Pacific, the Planetary Society and more with the chance to participate in various hands-on activities. You'll walk out feeling like an accomplished scientist. If you're into budding scientific talent, check out the science fair featuring dozens of local students all weekend long.

CicLAVia - Culver City meets Venice 

If you missed the L.A. Marathon this past weekend, no worries, here's a shorter and less intense opportunity to get some cycling/walking in. Feel free to start anywhere along the route and make sure to check out activity hubs and landmarks typically overlooked while driving.

Peacock Day!

For a burst of vibrant color and a peek at urban wildlife, head over to the county arboretum for a peacock-filled bonanza. Stroll down lush trails alongside the blue and green birds, craft some feather-inspired art, or really feel welcome with your own peacock costume and plenty more!

AutoCon 2017

Whether you prefer domestic classics or exotic imports, here you'll find some of the most unique and pristine cars in the area. Show off your own prized possessions or simply admire from afar, while enjoying live music, demos and giveaways.
