Think Obamajam is bad? How about having two major sporting events on the same day?
Los Angeles drivers are in for what's expected to be worse than usual traffic as President Obama visits Saturday for fundraising events. The Dodgers will also play the New York Mets at Dodger Stadium for Game 2 of the National League Division Series, and the U.S. men’s soccer team will face Mexico at the Rose Bowl for the CONCACAF Cup.
Obama is scheduled to be in the L.A. area from 1 p.m. to 7:25 p.m. According to the Hollywood Reporter, his first stop from LAX will be movie director J.J. Abrams' home, where a roundtable discussion will benefit the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.
The president will then attend a private concert in the Palisades and appear at a dinner hosted by interior designer Michael Smith (the U.S. ambassador to Spain, James Costos, is his partner). The two events will raise funds for the Democratic National Committee, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
