A crash on the 15 Freeway in the Cajon Pass caused a 25-acre brushfire that rapidly spread up the canyon, but threatened no homes.

The fire was 60 percent contained Saturday night and the road is open.

Della Miller tells KABC-TV she was on a charter bus heading to Las Vegas when a motorcycle cut in front and crashed. A CHP officer tried to help the rider but an oxygen tank she was using exploded.

Miller says the officer had arm and face burns.

The Riverside Press-Enterprise says the biker was thrown and has major injuries.

A July 17 brushfire in the pass burned seven homes and dozens of cars.

The fire also jumped Highway 138.
