Three Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies and a parking control officer have been relieved of duty over allegations that they stole items from towed vehicles or took money from owners to avoid impounding their cars.

The Sheriff's Department says they'll remain off-duty until an investigation is completed.

Authorities say they became aware of the allegations last month and so far, no other employees have been implicated.
