Sgt. Belinda Nettles of Airport Police issued this statement:
Today at approximately 12:00 p.m., Los Angeles Airport Police responded to a report of telephonic non-specific Bomb threat in an undetermined location at the Tom Bradley International Terminal. More to follow.
Traffic is being diverted from the upper level of the Tom Bradley International Terminal. Officials at LAX are advising commuters to use the lower level traffic lanes to access the terminal.
President Barack Obama is scheduled to speak at Trade Tech in Los Angeles around 1:15 p.m. Thursday. He is slated to fly out of LAX to return to Washington around 3 p.m., according to KTLA.
