Arrests made in suspected Seal Beach burglary ring

Seal Beach Police detectives and 14 other agencies conducted a raid Wednesday, arresting several members of the Long Beach Insane Crip gang, the Long Beach Press-Telegram reports.

Ten search warrants were served starting at 5 a.m. as part of the investigation, which is focused on nearly 100 burglaries allegedly committed in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties, said Seal Beach police Sgt. Philip Gonshak, according to CBS-LA.

The suspects allegedly targeted restaurant safes and grocery stores that sell high-end liquor, said Gonshak.

Seal Beach police will share more details on the raid and investigation, known as “Operation Crossover,” at a 2 p.m. press conference.
