Twin-engine plane crashes off runway at Santa Monica Airport

A small twin-engine airplane crashed after landing at Santa Monica Airport, Federal Aviation Administration officials said Sunday. 

FAA spokesman Ian Gregor told City News Service that the twin-engine Cessna Citation went off the right side of the runway after landing at around 6:20 p.m.. It's not yet clear if there were any casualties.  

"We do not have information on the number of people on board or their conditions," Gregor told CNS.

CBS Los Angeles reports that the plane originated from Hailey, Idaho, an area popular for its beautif: 

Hailey is a small community of less than 8,000 residents but its proximity to mountains has made it a popular spot for celebrities over the years including Tom Hanks, Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
