West Covina motorcyclist who died in crash identified

A motorcyclist who died in a crash in West Covina was identified this morning.

Alfredo E. Gonzalez II, 33, of Covina, was riding a 2004 Suzuki GSXR 1000 sportbike when he made a left turn at about 45 mph onto Sunset Avenue and collided with 1992 Honda Accord just after 6 p.m. Monday, California Highway Patrol Officer A. Torres said.

Gonzalez was pronounced dead by paramedics at the crash scene.

The 22-year-old woman driving the Honda was not arrested.

The intersection was blocked more than six hours for a crash investigation.
