L.A. City Councilman Mike Bonin wants LAX officials to reexamine how they communicate with passengers during emergency situations, reports the Daily Breeze. LAObserved's Mark Lacter conducts an exit interview with Geraldine Knatz, executive director of the Port of Los Angeles. "As soon as I got an indication that they wanted to make a change, I was cool about retiring," she says.
Los Angeles Times writer Patt Morrison talks to Carol Schatz of the Central City Association about the new downtown. Morrison asks why the woman who helped make downtown livable doesn't live downtown herself.
