A man died after an apparent shark attack off the Santa Barbara County coast, the Los Angeles Times reports. It happened near Surf Beach at Vandenberg Air Force Base.
Authorities at Vandenberg said they received a distress call Tuesday morning about a possible shark attack, the Times reports. Rescuers performed CPR on a man between 25 and 33 who was unaffiliated with the base, according to authorities.
The attack comes two years after a Santa Barbara college student died after a great white shark attack at the same beach. That student, Lucas Ransom, was 19 years old.
