"Veronica Mars" is set to hit theaters March 14, a year after the attempt to resurrect the beloved but short-lived teen detective drama was funded by a record-setting $5.7 million Kickstarter campaign, and its first full trailer just hit the Web.

The trailer features the spacious KPCC studios at 31 seconds in, with what appears to be Piz in a blurry appearance in the background.

The trailer tells the story of Veronica Mars, the once teen private detective (as seen in three seasons on UPN and The CW), now a New York lawyer who gets pulled back into her old life thanks to ex-boyfriend Logan Echolls being accused of murder. She heads back home to our fair state and the fictional community of Neptune.

The project drew mixed feelings from supporters excited to be part of the return of a beloved franchise, with others upset about individuals being asked to pre-support a movie being put out by a big Hollywood studio. "Scrubs" star and "Garden State" mastermind Zach Braff received a lot of that blowback, raising $3.1 million to fund a new film, "Wish I Was Here."

The "Veronica Mars" team will be promoting the theatrical release the night before it comes out here in Los Angeles at the PaleyFest entertainment festival at the Dolby Theater. In one of the strange coincidences of a resurrected TV show, they've been there before — back in 2005.
