Ira Glass is riding high on the victory by “This American Life” in KPCC’s Public Radio Bracket Madness (see the photos of Ira receiving his trophy here), but the star train for Mr. Glass isn’t ending there.

He’s also getting his celebrity on in the latest music video from Thao & The Get Down Stay Down, “We The Common.” It’s apparently the week of the West Coast showing its love for Ira Glass — the band is based out of San Francisco.

The public radio nerd celebrity sightings don’t stop there — you also get the esteemed Mr. John Hodgman. The cameo is brief — blink and you might miss it — but you can see a little of the rockers inside Glass and Hodgman.

The song is also dedicated to Valerie Bolden, who’s serving life without the possibility of parole in the California prison system after fatally stabbing her husband. She is currently serving her sentence in a prison outside Los Angeles, according to the San Francisco Examiner.
