YouTube has its own culture. Sometimes those videos go super viral and the rest of us see them, while others build an underground fanbase. YouTube produced a video mashing up the two big YouTube smash hit songs of the year: PSY’s “Gangnam Style” and Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe.” It stars YouTube icons like Annoying Orange, Felicia Day and the S— Girls Say “girl” offering their takes on the biggest YouTube moments, and it’s a great Rorschach test for how deep in the YouTube culture you are.
Which references did you get? Which cameos were your favorites? Did that video blow your mind a little?
SoCal gets a prominent spot — YouTube stars Smosh play Mars Curiosity rover operators at Pasadena’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
