"True Grit" tops the list of year-end releases

Our Film Week on AirTalk critics have weighed in on the final releases of 2010, producing one of our most contentious programs of the year.  We put four critics in a studio and verbal sparring broke out from the first movie on.

The biggest disagreements were over the Sophia Coppola film, Somewhere, the British film from writer/director Mike Leigh, Another Year, and the Spanish movie from Mexican director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, Biutiful, starring Javier Bardem.

Our critics were rather consistent on the Coen Brothers’ True Grit, the comedies Meet the Fockers and Gulliver’s Travels, and the French animated feature The Illusionist.

While I’m off for the holidays until January 3rd, please share your opinions on these movies right here.  It’s a good chance for fellow film lovers to get the feedback from other smart AirTalk listeners.

I wish you and your family a very merry Christmas and happy New Year.  I’ll be taking some time off to spend with my family, and hope you also have a chance to spend time with your loved ones.
