Many of us fondly remember childhood visits to Knott's Berry Farm, including panning for gold and trying to stay upright in the haunted shack. This was the Knott's of pre-thrill ride era.
Wednesday on "AirTalk" I had the pleasure of interviewing the co-authors of "Knott's Preserved: From Boysenberry to Theme Park, the History of Knott's Berry Farm." The book's loaded with great photos and many details about how Walter and Cordelia Knott's attraction evolved.
Thursday, we'll talk about an attraction debuting next month -- the decorative painting of all the lifeguard stands between Zuma beach and Palos Verdes. Kids are doing the artwork, and we'll talk with the co-founder of "Portraits of Hope," the non-profit responsible for organizing the project.
