Just in time for Los Angeles and Coachella instructors, a group of arts teachers have put together a podcast for teachers on how to use iPads for arts projects.

Called "aRTs Roundtable," the podcast was put out by the website EdReach, which promotes classroom innovation.

"We don't just recycle our same lesson plans, we're always trying to change up, innovate and do something different," retired music teacher Carol Broos said in the latest podcast, which focuses on iPad arts education projects. "That's what artists are all about."

The podcast also includes arts teachers Tricia Fuglestad, Brenda Muench and Jennifer Kolzeall. The four Illinois-based women offer engaging tips that focus on the digital side of the arts. The podcast, which started in late 2011, is available for free on iTunes. 

Sound quality isn't always ideal, but the teachers offer easy-to-implement tips and helpful stories from the classroom.

The most recent podcast is called "Playtime with the Ghosts of Summer Past, Present, and Future." It's the 29th podcast the group has released. The teachers recommend the animation and drawing app DoInk, the photo app Superimpose and the musical app My Singing Monsters, among others.
